Always at the edge of innovation and new trends, Portuguese brand Fogo Montanha offer two new wood-burning stoves using an innovative material. Cork. The Natura is a winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2017 due to the impressive integration of this natural touch to a modern industrial product.
Judges were particularly impressed with its simple yet sleek construction, with the main body of this high-performance wood stove manufactured out of steel, the cork cover sections are installed and fixed to the structure. These cork sections are separated from the steel body to make sure the cork doesn’t darken or discolour over time. Utilising a cork outer casing gives a truly unique look, combining aesthetics and functionality.
Being made with modular cork sections, it resembles old cast iron radiators, but with the use of this material, which is naturally fire retardant and heat resistant, it provides a lasting sensation of the warmth of the fire.
The two original models, with cork cover, available in natural or darkened colour are impressive and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The Natura is now also available in cream painted finish and a black painted finish, as well as with a stone clad cover.
This new range is characterized by perfect combustion, external air connection, high efficiency and low emissions. It’s a truly unique visual effect.
