Nestor Martin’s M43 wood burning stove combines eco credentials with modern design

These days we ask a lot of our household appliances and the same can be said for our heating, too. With open-plan living becoming increasingly popular, we need high heat output as well as good looks and something sustainable that ticks the eco-friendly box. Nestor Martin has the perfect solution with its new M43 wood burning stove, which combines all of this and more.

M43 Nestor Martin

A new model for 2020, the freestanding Nestor Martin M43 wood burner is an Ecodesign Ready stove, which is A+ rated for energy efficiency and combines contemporary styling with a high quality, robust cast iron exterior. The powerful, high heat output 8kW stove has a large glass front for a full view of the flicking flames and radiant heat inside, a sturdy cast iron back and optional remote control. The M43 also comes with patented Woodbox® combustion technology, an airwash system and ashpan.

The Nestor Martin M43 wood burning stove also comes with an environmentally-friendly catalytic converter. Producing a long, even heat output, catalytic combustion is designed to clean the smoke that leaves your chimney, reduce creosote and enable you to get more heat from each piece of wood. The catalyst passes the smoky exhaust through a coated ceramic honeycomb inside the stove where the smoke gases and particles ignite and burn. This means less dust as well as 80% lower CO2 emissions. Catalytic combustion is operated by a lever bypass damper for starting and reloading and to maintain your stove in peak condition, just ensure you never over-fill the stove or use an inappropriate fuel such as household waste or treated wood. Burn only natural, well-seasoned wood and clean the catalyst regularly with a vacuum or soft bristled brush every six weeks for best results.

With sustainability high on its agenda, Nestor Martin’s M43 wood burner is also Ecodesign Ready. Designed to reduce PM (particle matter) emissions by burning wood more efficiently and completely, Ecodesign Ready stoves are future-proof and eco-friendly, meeting the emissions and minimum efficiency criteria for Ecodesign ahead of the implementation date of early 2022.

“The new M43 wood burner is just one of a full range of catalytic and Ecodesign Ready wood burning stoves from Nestor Martin,” says Chris Baines, managing director of Eurostove, “Whether you want a modern look or something more traditional, there is a style to suit every space and every interior. As well as being eco-conscious, every stove is also highly efficient with a high heat output, guaranteed to keep you cosy all year round.”
