Loxton - Churchill 5kW mk1 Full Brick Set

This full brick set fits the Loxton and Churchill 5kW stove, Mk1 model, built before August 2012. It's a complete replacement kit for the firebox: seven bricks in total — one baffle brick, two rear bricks, two side bricks and two base bricks — supplied together as a single order, weighing approximately 5kg altogether, so you're not left chasing down individual pieces to finish a refurbishment. Fire bricks are one of the hardest-working parts inside any wood-burning or multi-fuel stove. They line the firebox and sit between the fire and the steel or cast iron body, protecting the metal from direct flame contact while reflecting heat back into the firebox rather than letting it soak away into the casing. That reflected heat is what lets a stove reach and hold a proper, efficient burning temperature. With regular use, bricks gradually crack, crumble or wear thin from repeated heating and cooling, and once that damage is visible they should be replaced rather than left in place — running a stove on worn-out bricks allows flame to reach the body directly, which can lead to overheating and lasting damage. Because firebox dimensions vary between models, and even between different marks of the same model, this set is matched specifically to the pre-August 2012 5kW Mk1 build.
