The Scope XL constructed of solid cast iron is a sturdy well built stove filled with intelligent features such as its snorkel closed combustion technology and the flue control mechanism helps to stop smoke entering your room when you reload your fire through the front opening door. If you want to load that slightly larger log you could of course use the side door.
